Three ways to get CarPlay
Swap the radio
The usual route. A Pioneer, Sony, Kenwood, Alpine or JVC touchscreen with a dash kit and harness made for your car. Most reliable, easiest to find parts for.
All-in-one screen for your dash
A bigger screen shaped to your exact dash, bezel and wiring included. Cheaper for the screen size. Quality varies by brand, so I'll tell you which ones hold up.
Keep your factory screen
On cars with a good built-in screen (BMW, Lexus, Uconnect, Mercedes) a module adds wireless CarPlay behind it. Looks stock, keeps every factory feature.

Year, make, model and trim
The trim decides the parts. An Altima SR and a base Altima take different harnesses.
A photo of your dash, powered on
It tells me whether you have a factory screen, a premium sound system, and what the opening looks like.
Bose, JBL, or premium sound?
Look for a badge on the speakers or the screen. Premium systems need an interface to keep the factory amp.
Do you already have the radio?
If not, I'll send you links to a radio and the exact parts it needs. You order it yourself, so you pay what you see. Radios I recommend.

Questions people ask
Will I keep my steering wheel buttons?
Yes. The harness I spec for your car includes steering wheel control retention. On some cars that's a separate small module, which is included in the quote.
Will I keep my backup camera?
Usually. The right interface keeps the factory camera. If your car doesn't have one, I can add one with the radio.
What about my Bose or JBL system?
You keep it. Premium systems use a factory amp that needs an interface (Maestro, PAC, Axxess, CRUX) so the new radio talks to it. Add $50–75 for the integration. What is Maestro?
I bought a cheap Amazon radio. Can you install it?
Usually, but many of them ship without the dash kit and harness for your car, and those are hard to find separately. Send me the listing before it arrives and I'll tell you what's missing. The parts behind a radio install.
Will this void my factory warranty?
No. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act a dealer has to prove the aftermarket part caused a specific failure. The rest of the warranty stays.
