No extra remote. Press lock three times on the key you already carry. Clean and simple. Range is whatever your key does.
2-way remote
A dedicated remote that confirms the car actually started. Good range, up to a mile or more on the better ones.
Phone app
Start, lock and locate from anywhere with cell service. A small subscription after the free trial.

Questions people ask
Will it void my factory warranty?
No. Under the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act a dealer can't void your warranty just because you added an aftermarket part. They'd have to prove the remote start caused a specific failure.
Does it work on push-to-start?
Yes, with the right bypass module. Almost every push-to-start car needs one. I flash it with your vehicle's firmware before the install.
Will it drain my battery?
No. A properly installed system draws next to nothing when it's idle.
How far does it reach?
Factory-key start: the same as your key. Basic 1-way remotes: a few hundred feet. 2-way remotes: up to a mile or more. Phone app: anywhere with signal.
Is it safe? Could someone drive off with it running?
No. The car runs but stays locked, and it shuts off the moment someone presses the brake without the key present. A hood pin switch stops it from starting while the hood is open.
Leased car?
Fine. Everything plugs in with a T-harness where possible and can be removed at lease end.
